As business coaches my wife and I frequently find ourselves in a corner conversation that starts with either, “I have an idea for a business…”<\/em> or “I just have a quick business question…”<\/em>,\u00a0 many times, even in casual conversations, we are asked;<\/p>\n

“Does network marketing really work?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Understand first, The facts are:\u00a0\u00a0 the industry has been around for 63+ years, produces over 100 Billion in annual revenue…and has produced thousands of millionaires.\u00a0 It is a highly recommended starting point for entrepreneurs because of the business training\u00a0 that’s provided and the rapid personal growth that occurs<\/small>….yes it is a fact<\/span> that many experts, including Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Allen, Bob Proctor, my wife and I, have all recommended Network Marketing as a starting point for entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Second, what the person is really<\/span> asking is; “Will network marketing work for me?”<\/em><\/p>\n

You know the story, they’ve “tried it” and “failed” or the ever present they “know someone who tried it”<\/em> and they failed which becomes generalized to “those things never work”<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 And if they happen to know someone who was successful (besides us)<\/small> then it was because they possessed something special – like superior knowledge, above average looks,\u00a0 or a certain personality…blah blah blah.<\/p>\n

So that brings me to the question, “Does Golf work?”<\/em><\/p>\n

If you’ve never golfed before, and one day decided to pick up some clubs and go play and it turned out to be a disaster – does that mean golf doesn’t work?\u00a0 Does that mean golf won’t ever<\/em> work for you?\u00a0 Does it mean that all the people who play golf have superior knowledge, above average looks, or certain personalities?\u00a0 Certainly NOT!! on all counts.<\/p>\n

All it means is that you have to learn how<\/em> to play golf, which begins with believing<\/em> that you CAN<\/em>, followed by actually playing versus “trying” to play and usually involves some form of mentoring.\u00a0 Hmmmm you mean it’s a llot like learning to ride a bike, or swim, or most things we learn in life?\u00a0 Yep!<\/p>\n

So our answer is;\u00a0 “Absolutely I\/we believe network marketing will work for you – after you first believe that it will and then DECIDE that it will”.
