Good Morning Team – Too often a newer business owner will mistakenly think that “if I just tell them more about the science, the facts of the industry, the stats and more facts – then my prospect will see the light and make a purchase. The old adage “Facts Tell – Stories Sell ” is an old adage for a reason.<\/p>\n
The most important part of your business presentation is your story. Fill your stories with emotion and personal revelations <\/strong><\/em>so you actually connect with your prospect and make an emotional impact. Your story is what the prospect will remember most. So be able to tell your story in less than 2 minutes. Make it timely, appropriate to the situation and make certain that you link the prospect back to you, your product, and\/or your service. <\/p>\n The fewer words, the better. <\/strong> It’s never what you say, it’s what they remember. It boils down to inspiration<\/em> and relevance<\/em> for the listener. Too many facts, too many anecdotes or just plain overly wordy, and they can’t find the nuggets to make a decision with – so they leave your invite or presentation with “have to think about it”. To best serve your audience, write, edit and rewrite until you get your storys’ most important points down to the fewest words possible.
