Good Morning Team – Last night Tony interviewed Mark Cuban, Steve Wynn and Texas’ very own T Boone Pickens. Some insightful questions and answers for all of us. First some soundbites;<\/p>\n
Mark Cuban<\/strong>: Business is a sport. I always try to change the game so I can win.<\/em><\/p>\n Steve Wynn<\/strong>: A single person acting alone can change their situation and the nation. There is no conflict between success and Spirituality because success depends upon the other. It all comes down to individual responsibility.<\/em><\/p>\n T Boone Pickens<\/strong>: now 84YO – I still have a lot of things to do<\/em>.<\/p>\n Now some nuggets Tony pulled from them:<\/p>\n Steve Wynn donates 120% of his salary and bonuses to charity. He starts every business meeting by asking “what good happened today?” and “storytelling” regarding the good. He then makes certain that the person who did the good deed receives recognition because he believes “anything that raises self esteem is more powerful and valuable than money<\/em>.”<\/p>\n T Boone Pickens retired at age 68 and started his current career at age 70. Since age 70 he has donated more than 1 Billion dollars to his favorite charities. And he feels a strong sense of urgency because he is 84 and “still has a lot of things to do”. <\/p>\n All three agreed, and stated in different ways, and in no uncertain terms; That YOUR<\/em> economy is independent from THE<\/em> economy.
