Holiday Shopping: $30.8 Billion Spent<\/strong> Holiday shopping was strong right through Christmas, with consumers spending a record $30.8 billion for the season, according to research firm comScore in a report issued Wednesday. Especially online sales: for the 56 days ended Dec. 27 rose 13% from the same period in 2009. There was a 17% year-over-year surge overall in the week that ended Dec. 26. ……because 1. People don’t want to spend less on gifts this year than they spent last year. AND;<\/p>\n 2. Sales is never about the money it’s always about the desire. When people really desire something they always will go find the money.<\/p>\n If your prospects are giving you the “I don’t have the money” excuse – it’s simply because you didn’t touch on – and ignite – their emotions<\/strong> relating to the benefits of your product or service or Freedom. The kind of Freedom you and they “get to” feel after you’ve worked with a team of people who constantly & continuously seek to improve themselves and the world we live in. The kind of Freedom you “get to” feel when you know in your heart of hearts that you’re part of something bigger than all of us and that by your contribution as a team member you “get to” to put your head on the pillow at night knowing that you’ve given your all.<\/p>\n At the end of every presentation a “sale” will be made. Either you will have lit their fire for the benefits relating to the purchase of your product, service or Freedom and they buy you – or from you.
