{"id":68,"date":"2009-12-21T09:10:53","date_gmt":"2009-12-21T15:10:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.drbilltoth.com\/blog\/?p=68"},"modified":"2009-12-21T09:14:20","modified_gmt":"2009-12-21T15:14:20","slug":"honey-bees-make-honey-winners-win-and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.drbilltoth.com\/?p=68","title":{"rendered":"Honey Bees make Honey, Winner&#8217;s Win and&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">Honey bees make honey, Winners win&#8230;.and Slackers slack.<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">This is one of the 3 weeks in the year where you&#8217;ll frequently hear prospects say; <em>&#8220;Call me after the holidays&#8221;<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 You can drive yourself crazy making appts to call these people back and the result will be your new January calender will be very messy with crossouts, whiteouts, blackouts and you&#8217;ll likely hear a lot of <em>&#8220;I\/we didn&#8217;t get around to it&#8221;<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">So after 11 years here&#8217;s what I\/we do;\u00a0 Have them take my name\/number and call me back.\u00a0 <\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><\/big><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">Most people can&#8217;t remember what they had for dinner two nights ago, never mind a 30 second phone call they had days or weeks ago.\u00a0\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what we&#8217;ve learned: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the serious ones DO call you back<\/span>.<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>The rest??&#8230;.in January we&#8217;ll teach you what to do with December&#8217;s leads, even the ones that say &#8220;call me back&#8221;.\u00a0 <small>(no need to keep track)<\/small><\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\"><small><\/small>In my opinion, If you let people procrastinate, they will, and then you&#8217;ve done them a great dis-service.\u00a0 And yet there is a fine line between being urgent and being pushy.\u00a0 Play the line, live on the edge, be bold, learn where the line is&#8230;Learn by doing!<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">As for top sales people&#8230;this is the time of year where the <strong>Leaders step it up a notch<\/strong>, call more, prospect more, present more.\u00a0\u00a0 Why -Because average reps slack off, using the holidays as an excuse.\u00a0 And that means prospects have less people from less companies contacting them.\u00a0 The leaders set a schedule for building their business and stick to it, understanding that a 1% -2% &#8211; 10% extra effort in December makes for a more lucrative December and lays the groundwork for capturing more of the market in January.\u00a0<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">Bottomline;<\/span><\/big><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\"> Honey bees make honey, Winner&#8217;s win and Slackers Slack.<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\"><em>Many of life&#8217;s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success at the very moment they gave up.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;Thomas Edison<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<p><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\">Wear a Smile and Wear it out!!!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/big><big><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/big><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Honey bees make honey, Winners win&#8230;.and Slackers slack.
