“You don’t know what you don’t know and you won’t know until you DO.<\/em><\/strong>”<\/p>\n So many times “wannabe” entrepreneurs get frozen in the paralysis of anal-ysis and miss good or great opportunities. In many cases the underlying cause is their fear of the unknown. And it manifests in phrases like; “But I have to know this before I start…”.<\/p>\n Here’s a metaphor we use that sometimes helps these folks be bold, step up to the plate and swing the bat.<\/p>\n College: We willingly pick one. Pay our money up front. And then we go. We have no clue who are teachers are going to be, what books we’re going to have to buy, whether or not we’ll read them. We have no clue who’s going to be in class or if we’ll like them or they us. We have no clue if we’ll even like our chosen major, no clue if we’ll pass any test or class. We have no clue if we’ll graduate. And after we graduate – especially these days – we have no clue if we’ll get a job.<\/p>\n Yet we willingly submit to all of these unknowns because we’re there to get a “degree”.<\/p>\n When we start a business the “degree” is freedom. And along the way there will be many unknowns, detours, potholes and rewards.
