2498 “no’s

I’m certain my readers know about Col. Sanders, Kentucky Fried Chicken and his 1009 “no’s”…..here’s a very recent example from the book “Millionaire Republican”

For one project Wayne Root (author/entrepreneur) sent 2500 personal letters.   He either got no response at all, polite “contact us at another time” or outright nasty rejections… just 2 people said yes they would interview him and 1 of those actually hired him.

Here’s what he learned;

“I hate the no’s too, but they don’t slow me down or make me doubt mySelf, my vision, or my decisions.  I understand that each rejection or failure puts me that much closer to that magical yes that will change my life.  I crave that yes so strongly, so clearly, so enthusiastically that the yes is all I can see.  That tunnel vision gives me the confidence I need to stay committed to my vision.”

The great news is this; no matter what business you own – You don’t have to be a superstar, you just have to find one!
Tunnel vision till you DO!

Older Americans

excerpt from book; “Millionaire Republican” by Wayne A. Root.

“Research shows that entrepreneurship is growing faster among older workers than any other age group.  There has been a 23% jump in Americans 50+ starting their own business since 1990…..

…Older Americans are the perfect entrepreneurs:  They already possess business experience, they are disciplined and reliable; they aren’t afraid of hard work, they have time to build a business because their children are mostly grown and they have saved enough money to bankroll a business……because of the maverick personality of this baby boom generation……they’re excellent choices for business ventures.”

Words are the most….

Words are the most powerful tool invented by humans”

–Buckminster Fuller

Words are the fuel for our brain, our greatest asset and our greatest liability…most especially the words we use to speak with our Self.  Words become thoughts > Thoughts become things.

“In the beginning there was the word…and the word became flesh.”

Whatever you say after “I am ___.”  is instantly true for you. “I am happy, I am sad, I am too old, too young, too smart, too fat….etc etc.

Other affirmations work too;

“I can’t afford it” could just as easily become; “How can I afford it?”

“I can’t do it” could just as easily become; “How can I do it?”

“I don’t know anybody” could just as easily become; “who do I know?”

Enrich your vocabulary and you enrich your life…..Words have power, magic and life in them….and the best news is they’re free….

use them carefully.
