As you consider “purpose” versus “resolutions” versus “goals” Your Life Purpose comes first, Goals second.
“Set a goal to achieve something that is so big, so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time. It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core, that you can’t get it out of your mind. If you do not get chills when you set a goal, your not setting big enough goals.” –Bob Proctor
There are two parts that give us the “chills” or the fear…..one is that as you discover your purpose or set a goal…there’s a part of you that resists change…..even though there’s another part of you that finds it to be a necessary part of life…
– it should be pretty darn obvious – Change is a natural part of life.
You change your car every so often
You change your calender once a month
You change your bedding once a week
You change your underwear each day
You change the page in your daytimer everyday
You change your position while sleeping or sitting every 5-7 minutes
You change the air in your lungs appx 15 times a minute
You change the position of your eye lids appx 25 times per minute
Change is a natural part of your life every second of every day.
