Good Morning Team – In a few hours 2011 will be over. Your business will be over for the year. Then it will be 2012.
The very best thing about the past is that it’s over. And what’s really superb is that you can’t prove that your past happened the way you remember it.
Consider for a moment a traffic accident, witnessed by four people standing on four different corners. Each of these eyewitnesses will have seen the same
event, but from a slightly different angle. Therefore, each of them will be telling the “truth” when they testify, but each one’s story will be distinct from the others.
So if we had a time machine and traveled back to the pivotal events of this past year, or any point in your life; and we interviewed others who were present, there would be a extremely high probability that they would remember those same events very differently.
Additionally, we all have had the experience where a seemingly terrible event turned out to be the very best thing for us. One lesson here and there is to look
for the seed of good in every “awful” experience as it’s happening – because the second lesson here and there is that every experience has served us, or continues to serve us on some level, for some purpose.
In conclusion, there are always three sides to every story; His, Hers and the Truth which usually lies somewhere in between. So why not remember your past in a way that supports and empowers you TO BE magnificent?
Because what if you were to? What if you did?
Live With Intention,
Bill
