Microsoft and you !

As usual Microsoft in the news

Here’s a recent mind-twisting quote from one of their former employees;

Close your eyes and form a realistic picture of what a post PC world might actually look like. Those who can envision a plausible future that’s brighter than today will earn the opportunity to lead.”

–Ray Ozzie, Former Chief Software Architect at Microsoft

I have to admit it’s kind of hard to imagine a world without computers at this very moment.

However, when I started this business 12 years ago there was no internet, computers had no hard drives, 1 ram of memory was a lot and you had one choice of color on your screen = green. Cell phones were giant bricks with a base that had to be mounted in the trunk of your car. There were no emails, no web presentations, no CD’s, DVD’s, no teleconference calls, no recorded calls and no webinars. All tools we take for granted now.

Today your cell phone has more computing power than NASA used to put man on the moon and I/we travel more frequently with just an iphone vs a computer that TSA wants to see us turn on or off. And the cars we drive talk to us, wake us up, brake for us, and navigate for us via an average of 9 computers per car plus the internet.

So yes I can imagine a future without a computer sitting on my desk, where the whole desk, coffee table top or wall is the screen, and thanx to technology – even quicker electronic/internet communications with the people I know and love. Since it is written that those without vision perish I believe the quote is quite accurate. Therefore, I can clearly, vividly see a future whereas;

We’re Attracting a Global Community of Extraordinary individuals – Dedicated to Loving, Learning and Connecting with Grace and Abundance

So what is your vision for your future, and what actions are you taking today to ensure that you get to your desired objectives?

See it > BE it > DO it > Have it.

Know it all = No to it all

Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome.

Samuel Johnson, 1709-1784, Essayist, Biographer and Poet

Beware the paralysis of “anal-ysis”. All too often prospects, customers will draw a line in the sand – “I have to know this- before I buy or get started”. This is a big sand trap to new salespeople or new business owners.

You can answer their questions until both of you vomit from information overload; when the underlying issue is that you didn’t connect with the person on an emotional level and discover their emotional reasons for buying or taking action.

Human beings make their purchase decisions from an emotional place FIRST, THEN they justify or rationalize their decision. And this is why we have the phrase; “Facts Tell – Stories Sell”.

In its’ absence..

In the absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia until ultimately we become enslaved by it.

–Robert Heinlein, Novelist

What are your goals for your business this month of October? Is it dollar amounts? Getting into the bonus pool? Number of contacts made?, Number of people helped with their health? Number of people helped via another income stream? Remember to write them up.

Disney saw the theme park while standing in a swamp, Michaleangelo saw David in a block of marble, races are won before they start and months are finished before they end.

Competency and confidence come from taking action and getting results. Success and Peace come from seeing it in your mind first, and believing that you “will”, even if you don’t know the “how”. You must see it, feel it, be there, like the result has already happened, and have the certainty “before” you take the action.

See it > Be it > Do it > Have it.

6 degrees of separation or Less

This probably has nothing or something to do with your business. What would you do for your son or daughter?

The Art of Intuitive Action

About 10 years ago my daughter was about 2500 kilometers from Newcastle, and rang me one day sobbing because of an emotional trauma she was facing. She was about 20, and in a town known as Ayrlie Beach in Northern Queensland. I asked her what it was that she needed most in that moment, and she replied that she needed support, and my arms around her would be the best thing that she could hope for! Because I couldn’t do that in that exact moment, I asked her to describe her surroundings to me (I have absolutely no idea ‘why’, at the time), and said that if she hadn’t heard from me in about 30 minutes to ring me back. I asked her to stay exactly where she was. I had no idea how I was going to ring her back, by the way, as she was calling from a public phone booth (1 of 3), near a little park, surrounded by a few shops in the main street of Ayrlie Beach.

OK then, after hanging up the phone, I just sat for a few seconds. After only a very short time a phone number ‘jumped into my head’, and even though I recognized it, it wasn’t a commonly used number of mine. I rang the number and it was a woman who had bought a house from me about 18 months previously, when I was working in Real Estate. My exact words to her were these, “Oh, it’s you Liz, I have no idea why I’m calling you in particular, but my daughter is stranded in Ayrlie Beach, and I just got the thought to ring you and tell you that. Have you any idea why?”

“It could be because my Son lives there,” says Liz.

“Oh really, that’s got to be it,” I said. “Do you mind giving me his phone number Liz?”

“Of course not, and I can only hope that he can be of some help!”

Liz gave me his mobile number and I rang straight away (only about 5 minutes have passed since telling my daughter that somehow I’d get her help). Fortunately, he answered immediately, and I told him the story of who I was, and why I’d rung.

I gave him the description of my daughter; where she was standing; and that she needed emotional support if he could find it in his heart to help out so unexpectedly like this. “Oh yes, I can see her,” he said…”she’s right across the street from where I’m standing!” He walked across the street and told my daughter that her Dad had sent him!

Imagine that…she almost fainted: only about 10 minutes had passed since she had rung me! I believe that she said something like this, “Wow, Dad’s getting pretty good at this stuff!” She was taken to a safe house; nurtured and supported; given food and a bed for a couple nights; and also given money to get herself to where she needed to be.

That’s intuition at it’s best!

It may save a life or two if people can embrace the use of intuition, and learn to trust in it.

–Phil Evans

What we do for people by offering a product or an opportunity can be equally remarkable on multiple levels. You and I might be the only “Light” in someone’s life today. Be the candle.

More Magical Moments…

Marianne Williamson, Nelson Mandela – one of them wrote it, both of them said it, all of us live it on some level.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves: ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?’

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Go forth and liberate someone today. Show them that someone genuinely cares about them and their situation, that all their dreams can come true if they have the courage to pursue them as you do.
