All the Time

Remember, Time is a progressive linear constant that cannot, as of yet, be manipulated, altered, changed or “managed.” Only your activities within time can be managed. We all have the same 24 hours a day, 1440 minutes, 86,400seconds, it’s what you’re doing with them that counts.

Make the Time – what people always do for the things they’re committed to.

All the Time – For Entrepreneurs it’s always “Now Oclock”. As a general rule they ignore traditional daily schedules and holidays. Their brain is always on curiosity mode. There’s never a “bad time” to share an opprtunity with them.

And often some of the people around them will say they’re unbalanced because they generally don’t work Monday thru Friday 9-5, go to church on bible study on Wednesday night, take the kids out on Friday night, have date night on Saturday after working in the yard, church on Sunday followed by a burning, gnawing pit of angst in their tummy as they worry about driving to work on Monday morning. In other words they’re not “normal”. Sometimes they will even be accused of “working all the time”.

The fact is most entrepreneurs don’t “work”. They don’t view their business as “work”. It’s a project, a creation, a masterpiece and like a child playing with a toy, if they don’t like it they start over. And like a child they seem to always be “in the moment” because for us it’s always; “Now Oclock”.

Part Time, Spare Time, Outta Time

Good Morning Team – Time is a progressive linear constant that cannot, as of yet, be manipulated, altered, changed or “managed.” Only your activities within time can be managed. We all have the same 24 hours a day, 1440 minutes, 86,400seconds, it’s what you’re doing with them that counts.

No Time – A disempowering state of anxiety that 97% of the population to chooses to live in. This is both the number two reason people start their own buisness (#1 is for the $$) ….and the number one reason people quit their business….”I have no time”
Part Time – Number one way people start their own business. Remember it takes at least 1-2 hours a day of consistent focused effort to get a business producing revenue. An apple a day keeps the doctor away…6 apples on Sunday gives you a stomach ache.
Spare Time – no such thing. Every minute of everyday is precious and we all have the same 24hrs.

Outta Time – The moment you realize you gotta get er done.
Make the Time – what people always do for the things they’re committed to. What are your business goals for this November to Remember?

Husband/Wife or Man/Woman

Good Morning Team – Of course substitute the term that’s most appropriate to your situation. Coming from a re-read of Gitomer’s “The Golden Book of Yes”

First, think “dating”; A woman must first like a man before she can begin to trust him.

Now replace the word “dating” with “prospecting”, and eliminate the gender difference. Hmmmm – how does that apply to your business? Hint: You and I must first be “likable” before we are granted the opportunity to be “professional” and pump facts. And more importantly we must first be “Likable” before we’re given the time it takes to gain a person’s trust.

I went out in search of a friend and found none out there; I went out to BE a friend and found them everywhere.” –Aristotle

Second, think “marriage”;

Do you want your spouse to be Loyal or Satisfied??

Now replace the word “marriage” with “team member” or “customer”. Hmmmmm how does that apply to what you and I DO? Hint: We must first add value thru Service and continue to add value to those that we bring on board as either a team member or customer.

I went out in search of a business partner and found none out there; I went out to BE a business partner and found them everywhere.” –Dr Bill Toth

Being Happy Comes First

Good Morning – from Time Magazine November 23, 2012, By Belinda Luscombe

Happy Teens Grow Up to Be Wealthier

Which comes first, happiness or money? Much scholarly head tapping has been devoted to examining whether richer people are happier and if so, how much richer? Recently Nobel Prize winners have looked into it. Today, a new study suggests that the question could perhaps be looked at the other way around. Happier teenagers, this study suggests, grow up to be richer adults.

The study, which appeared recently in the Proceedings of the National Association of Sciences Teenagers, looked at thousands of teenagers and found that those who felt better about life as young adults tended to have higher incomes by the time they turned 29. Their happiness was measured on a scale of 1 to 5. Those who were happiest earned an average of $8,000 more than those who were the most despondent.

The researchers, from University College London and the University of Warwick, used American data from the 10,000 strong survey known as Add Health, and say that their findings held firm even when factoring other variables that also tend to influence both happiness and wealth, such as IQ, education level, self esteem and even height. Very gloomy teens, no matter how tall or smart they were, earned 10% less than their peers, while happy ones earned up to 30% more.

When the researchers repeated the study with sibling pairs—youngsters with the same parents and socio-economic backgrounds—the happier ones continued to earn bigger paychecks It may be that happier teenagers have an easier time getting through school, college and a job interview, partly because they feel better about life generally. It may also be true that happier people find it easier to make friends, who are often the key to homework help or networking. Let’s face it, Winnie the Pooh is more popular than Eeyore. And Big Bird is more popular than Oscar the Grouch.

The report arrives in a big year for the science of happiness. And in October researchers at the University of Warwick in the U.K. and Dartmouth College in the U.S. announced that people who eat seven portions of fruit and vegetables a day report being the happiest.

“These findings show that the emotional well-being of children and adolescents is key to their future success,” one of the report’s authors, Jan-Emmanuel De Neve writes. “Yet another reason to ensure we create emotionally healthy home environments.”
