I’m using it correctly and it’s not working

Ever have a customer tell you they’re using your product(s) “correctly” or “just as you told me” and they’re not working, not getting results. This happens to all of us and it is a very common occurrence in my old profession (physician).

Watch this 37 sec. clip so you can see what you must 1st do with those folks.

Now you know why we say “Show Me” and …

Sometimes all you can do is smile.

Father Time Marches On

Good Morning Team –

Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

–Earl Nightingale, 1921-1989, Author

When our daughter wanted straight teeth she balked at the prospect of wearing braces for 2-3 years. (Time was the factor). The dentist simply said; “the 2-3 years was going to pass anyway – right? – Yes – and at the end of 2-3 years she would either have straight teeth – or not. Did she want straight teeth or not? yes or no?”

She chose yes and took the actions necessary to clean, maintain those braces…for three years!

The same applies to building your business. The next week, month, year or two, three are going to pass…that is a given. Do you want the outcome of your business being built…or not?

Not sure what to do…get with your coach.

Don’t have a coach? Then get one. Preferrably one that has already been successful in accomplishing what you’re seeking to accomplish.

4 Types of People & Belief Part 4/4

Good Morning Team – “Belief” as it relates to the 4 types of people.

4. People who struggle with their desire to give and inability to receive.

There’s 3 parts to this one. We’ve all heard; “it is better to give than to receive” The question becomes; According to whom? Based upon what? Compared to what? and “In what circumstances?”

I propose under no circumstances. There is no imbalance in nature. All the way down through the quantum level every electron is balanced with its’ counterpart. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And this must also be true in any fair exchange. Again, back to Emerson’s “Law of Compensation”. (If you’re in business for yourSelf then this is a MUST read)

The second component is the concept of “struggle”. The word is an primarily used as an adjective, sometimes as a noun. When used as an adjective it represents an emotion. And it is well known that strategies build wealth and emotions destroy it. Until you can manage your emotions you cannot expect to manage and master money. And since emotions originate in the meaning you assign to things or events – which in turn originate from your thoughts – and guess who is in control of your thoughts?

The third component of this one relates again to the concept of “Deserve Quotient” which will be discussed at a later date. People “struggle” with receiving because at some level (usually other than conscious level) they do not believe they deserve to receive.

Wealth is about creation. You can create many things, businesses and/or states of being. Your imagination is more important than your current level of knowledge. Your WHY is more important than the how.

4 types of people & Belief part 3/4

Good Morning Team – “Belief” as it relates to the 4 types of people.

3. People who say they “just want to be comfortable and secure” rather than wealthy

This one goes to the core of the matter; a person’s “Deserve quotient”, I’ll discuss that part of it at another time, for now;

On an earthly level it is best addressed simply by having the person clearly, concisely and precisely determining what specific amount of money they would need to have coming in on a monthly basis in order to feel “comfortable and secure”. Most people who make the comment lack a real number, a real dollar amount. They truly have no idea of what dollar amount it would take to be “comfortable and secure”.

Getting to the actual number eliminates the fear and fluff. It requires that a person know exactly what their spending their money on. 99% of people have no clue where there money is actually going and and grossly underestimate their spending. One exercise I give people is to get a little note pad that fits in a pocket and write down every single item they purchase every day for 30 days. I promise you if you do it you will be shocked. You think you know, but you don’t until you actually do the exercise.

At the end of each day total it all up. At the end of 30 days put it all in a format (like an excel spreadsheet) and total up the categories, note the patterns of spending the times of day, days of week, etc. This information will give you great insight to your core beliefs about money, what it’s used for currently in your life and from there you can re-order your priorities toward a path of continued abundance. Because as a fish lives in water so we live in an abundant world.

Wealth is about creation. You can create many things, businesses and/or states of being. Your imagination is more important than your current level of knowledge. Your WHY is more important than the how.

4 types of people & Belief part2/4

Good Morning Team – “Belief” as it relates to the 4 types of people.

2. People who outwardly desire wealth and inwardly feel guilty about acquiring it.

This one is based both upon the mis-perception that wealth, money and resources are finite as well as the mis-perception that in acquiring wealth they’ll somehow lower their higher spiritual values, compromise their virtues or simple become “evil”. “It’s better to give than to receive”, “money is the root of all evil” and “filthy rich” are just a few of the phrases you’ll hear from these folks.

Their guilt stems from an actual or perceived inequity in the give and take equation. The Laws of Physics require that every energy exchange MUST maintain perfect balance between give and receive. Emerson wrote about this law as it relates to barter and earning money in his famous essay “The Law of Compensation”. (A Must read for all entrepreneurs)

In short, if someone feels they received more than they gave; they feel guilty because they mistakenly believe in a finite universe. This may also be rooted in the concept of guilt as put forth by the 2nd century Christian writer by the name of Tertullian, ie a means of controlling the masses. (Consult your theologian on that one!)

Again, Wealth is about creation. You can create many things, businesses and/or states of being. Your imagination is more important than your current level of knowledge. Your WHY is more important than the how.
